Term 2 Restart Plans

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year! You will be aware that the Minister for Education, Peter Weir announced some changes to restart of schools after the Christmas break.  Please see below plans for our school restart:
 
Monday 4th January 2021 
  • Staff training day – school closed for all pupils
 
Tuesday 5th January 2021
  • Remote planning day – school closed for all pupils
 
Wednesday 6th January 2021
  • Remote learning and teaching for all pupils
  • Children of key workers and vulnerable children supervised in school
 
Thursday 7th January 2021
  • Remote learning and teaching for all pupils
  • Children of key workers and vulnerable children supervised in school
 
Friday 8th January 2021
  • Remote learning and teaching for all pupils
  • Children of key workers and vulnerable children supervised in school
 
Monday 11th January – end of January 2021
  • Year 12 pupils to attend school as normal
  • Year 11 pupils will attend school for exam preparation classes – further details to follow
  • Children of key workers and vulnerable children supervised in school
  • Year 8 – Year 11 will continue with remote learning and teaching
 
There will be supervised learning places made available for children whose both parents are key workers and for children who are deemed vulnerable, from Wednesday 6th January 2021.  This will not be face to face teaching.  Children will be supervised to complete their remote learning, in school.  If you wish to apply for a place for your child during the month of January, please complete the appropriate application form using the links below.

We will contact you on Tuesday 5th January to confirm your child’s place.
 
If your child does not have access to the internet or a device for completing work please email the school before Monday 4th January.
 
The health and safety of our pupils and staff is paramount and we would strongly encourage all children returning school to wear a face covering and sanitise their hands regularly.
