“New Start” Charity Work

Just before the half term break we kicked off our fundraising efforts for our Joshua who continues to go from strength to strength following his recent heart transplant. We are extremely thankful to the wonderful Newstart charity who helped provide the fantastic resources and treatment to nurse Joshua back to health in Manchester for him to return home and to his studies. As a school we will be running various charity events to raise money for this very worthy cause.

On Valentine’s Day with the help of the Princes Trust class we held a heart themed bun sale at lunchtime which proved very successful with the pupils!

On Monday our order of wrist bands arrived into school to start selling. These will be on sale  at a £1 every break and lunchtime in the concourse area. Please dig deep and support this fantastic charity who helped our boy!

The pictures below show Joshua receiving his own cupcake and the very first wrist band which Mrs Cairns promised him on her visit to him in Manchester!
