Children’s Mental Health Week

Children’s mental health is critically important and is under increasing strain, especially given the current situation for us all.

This week marks Children’s Mental Health Week and at Brownlow Integrated College, we will be focusing on helping your child express themselves, their feelings and thoughts. Each PD class this week will look at mental health and the pupils will be asked to undertake an activity that allows them to improve their mental health, whether that be an expressive activity like art, music or reading, or simply getting into the fresh air or connecting virtually with others.

In these difficult days, we would encourage you all as families to connect and focus on self-care- taking time out to focus on your mental well-being. Should support be required, please contact the college- counselling remains available as does mentoring through Reach. Even though you are learning off site, you are not forgotten. We look forward to seeing you again, hopefully soon. Be safe and be well.
