Year 12 Study Leave

Dear Parent / Guardian

Your son/daughter has now completed all their school work in preparation for GCSE examinations. In order to facilitate revision for these examinations year 12 students are hereby on study leave until their GCSEs are finished. However, there are a number of exceptions:

– Pupils who have their GCSE Music performance exam should attend school as normal on Friday 4th May 2018
– Pupils involved in the Occupational Studies awards ceremony should attend on Friday 4th May 2018 at times already issued
– GCSE Media Studies pupils should attend Media Studies support class on Tuesday 8th May periods 7 and 8

However, in order to support pupils with their revision each pupil has been issued a school based revision programme for May and June 2018. All year 12 students have been informed about the availability of a room for supervised study. Teachers of year 12 pupils will be available for support at the original teaching slots in the run up to the exams. In addition to this, each teacher will hold a timetabled revision session before each exam.

All students returning to the school campus before or during examinations must be in full uniform (this includes students coming for study classes). All students must be in school ready for examinations for 9.00am or 1.00pm and must comply with the examination rules.

All year 12 pupils are invited into school on Friday 29th June 2018 at 9.30am for morning coffee and to receive their progress files. School uniform is not required to be worn for this event.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for supporting Brownlow Integrated College and wish your child every success in their GCSEs and other external examinations.

If you have any queries regarding examinations please do not hesitate to contact the school.

Yours faithfully

S J Creber
Principal
