KS3 Motivational Mentoring Programme – Tuesday 31st May 2022

After a couple of years of meeting together remotely for our KS3 Mentoring discussions, we are pleased to be able to return to face-to-face meetings for our last mentoring day of this academic year, which is taking place in school, Tuesday 31st May.

The aims of the Mentoring Programme are:

  • To encourage and support pupils in reaching their full academic potential.
  • To provide pupils with guidance and practical help for improving.
  • To provide help on how to study.

The Mentoring Session will last approximately 30minutes and will consist of meeting with your child’s Mentor and reviewing academic progress and target setting. Important information regarding the end of year summer examinations, including revision guidance, will also be discussed. You will be able to get advice on how to best support your child from home.

Please note that normal school timetable is suspended on mentoring days – pupils and parents only attend for their mentoring appointment.  Non-uniform is worn.

Your child’s Teacher Mentor will be in contact with you prior to the mentoring day to arrange an interview time. We will do our best to accommodate an interview time that is best suited to your needs.  If you or another adult family member (grand-parent, aunt, uncle etc) are unable to attend, it is very important that your child still attends. Please continue to support the programme by encouraging your child to attend on this date.

We look forward to seeing you Tuesday 31st May 2022 but if you have any questions concerning the Mentoring Programme in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Joanne Thompson, Pupil Inclusion in Education Co-Ordinator: 028 38 342121.
