With part 1 of Hockey and Hurling having taken place in early October, Mr Gosling finally got the lend of the required equipment to deliver part 2. With the sport of Hurling being alien to many of our pupils from such far away places as Bulgaria, Portugal, Lurgan and indeed Portadown the excitement was palpable.
Helmets, sticks and heavy leather Hurling balls (sliothars) seemed a recipe for disaster and yes many knocks, cuts and bruises were meted out. However, the smiles on faces spoke for themselves.
A brilliant experience for all pupils, from all countries and all backgrounds. Sport brings us together! Now go out and join your local Hockey/Hurling club! #NI100
