Brownlow IC Senior football squad entertained Markethill High School today and, in a throughly dominant game, ran out 5-0 winners.
BIC raced into a 2-0 lead within two minutes with goals from Ricardo D and Dylan C. Jamie M added a lovely free kick midway through the first half and at half time the lads in purple had the game firmly in their grasp.
Within 30 seconds of the 2nd half Brownlow extended their lead when Dylan C volleyed home a corner kick at the back post. The lads were playing some neat football and the passing exchange was a joy to watch. Another sublime free kick from Jamie M made it 5-0 before the end to make it 4 wins out of 4 for the guys.
This result now means that Brownlow IC will take on Newry High in a winner takes all league decider in the final game of the season. The guys also have a Mid Ulster semi final game to look forward to against Craigavon Senior High and whatever the result in both games, coaches Gosling and Gordon are delighted with the attitude and progress of the squad.
